(Indianapolis) Two events on the Lucas Oil 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals Series will host qualifiers for the 2014 King of the Hammers; the toughest one-day off-road race combining extreme rock crawling with high-speed desert racing.  The invitation-only qualifying races will be held at the 28th Annual Spring 4-Wheel Jamboree National at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, OH on May 17-19, 2013 and at the 16th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Ozark 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, MO on June 22 and 23, 2013.  At the Jamborees, the racers will be competing in ULTRA4 vehicles on a specially designed course in the infield as part of the General Tire Monster Truck Thunder Drags® and Mickey Thompson Tough Truck Challenge® competition.  The races will be official qualifiers for the 2014 King of the Hammers event which is scheduled for February, 2014 in Johnson Valley, CA.

ULTRA4 vehicles are unlimited-powerplant 4-wheel drives, capable of competing in multiple racing disciplines such as extreme rock crawling, high-speed desert racing, and short course competitions.  Some of the vehicles have turbos and superchargers and the tire sizes range from 35” to 42”.  ULTRA4 racing began in 2007 with a dozen friends competing for bragging rights.  Now more than 350 cars compete nationally and internationally.

King of the Hammers consists of an entire week of competitive events centered at a makeshift desert village called “Hammertown”.  Over 30,000 people gather to watch the grueling competition set against the backdrop of the dramatic desert terrain.

(Indianapolis) KYMCO USA, Inc. announces that it will stage a continuous, interactive ride-and-drive demo event at the A&A Auto Stores Summer 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals at the Bloomsburg (PA) Fairgrounds, July 12-14, 2013.  KYMCO USA, headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina will feature its popular line of side-by-sides and ATVs for the special demonstration event. 

At the 4-Wheel Jamboree, a special course will be constructed to simulate the hills, obstacles, tight turns, and other off-road fun.  Fans interested in taking the ride-and-drive will sign up at the KYMCO tent and receive a safety briefing, and put on helmets before making their laps around the course.

TEAM BIGFOOT LANDS WITH NEW WORLD RECORD JUMP DURING O'REILLY AUTO PARTS 4-WHEEL JAMBOREE IN INDY!

The legendary Bigfoot Monster Truck shattered the Guinness World Records Monster Truck Long Jump record Sunday, September 16^th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  BIGFOOT driver Dan Runte first set the record in 1999 with a jump of 202 feet in Nashville, TN during the Tennessee Aviation Day over a 727 jetliner.  According to Guinness World Records, Bigfoot’s record was broken in 2010 in Columbia, PA with a 208 ft long jump achieved by Joe Sylvester’s Bad Habit Monster Truck.  

The new long jump record, achieved once again by Bigfoot driver, Dan Runte, was set yesterday at 214.8 ft.  The record-breaking jump was staged as part of the O’Reilly Auto Parts 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals, an annual gathering of over 4,500 truck and jeep enthusiasts from all over the country.
