The Heart and Soul of the 4 Wheel Jamborees

Where is the best place to stay in Lima? We always have fun at the hotel in Indy after the show closes. You can't go wrong with luggage cart rides, having one floor dedicated to a party, tossing drinks down from the hotel windows, and of couse burnouts in the parking lot

Does this look like the right place? Super 8 - Wapakaneta...

the one we stayed at was right on 309 in Lima..I think that is a little further south of Lima ( Ithink ) but that is where they have the tug o truck at the fair grounds ...Wapakaneta...

that is the closest Super 8 to Lima. It was also listed at the Family Events website. It also looks like the rooms just down from the fairgrounds are already reserved for 2008.

The hotels the next exit down from the fairgrounds are much cheaper. If you go online or simply call the Holiday Inn and Hampton near the grounds, they will tell you they are sold out. You have to tell them you are coming for the Jamboree and they will put you through to their sales people dring the day. Basically all the rooms are set aside for that weekend and they charge you an arm and a leg for a two night package, but as of this morning, they still had rooms available.

camping would work for me, but if the Mrs. comes, that will never do. If momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy. Can any participant stay at the fairgrounds or do you have to compete?

I am not sure about that. I know we camp in the pits. I belive they have a camping area for all the other people. Give a call to the fair grounds.

There is a small motel close to the Waffel House. It's not a big fancy one but it is clean and safe,I don't even unpack my guns. I'll get the name and phone number and post it.
