Whn we raced in the "mike, rory, chris, rick, adam, roy, tom, bobby and other great guys" days, racing used to be intense and challenging. The sport was growing and sponsors were interested in our trucks. TV also became interested. S.E. marketed the racing and brought in event sponsors.......things were on the right track. Then Doc left and the quality of the entire show declined. Look how many race teams have also thrown in the towel! Has S.E. looked up in the stands recently ......they should before it's too late. They should attend a Live Nation event to see and learn show flow and why they sell out. Then there is track design or lack of .....too bad I didn't have a quarter-horse for this last event (it looked like a barrel race-not a monster truck race show)! Could't they afford to have more than 2 cars for the monsters to jump?! With rising fuel costs can anyone afford to participate in the races anymore (we are still racing for purses at rates from 10 years ago). What gives, you'd think there would be better purses by now. We know they have raised the attendance fees.
