Truck Show Nation

The Heart and Soul of the 4 Wheel Jamborees

Whn we raced in the "mike, rory, chris, rick, adam, roy, tom, bobby and other great guys" days, racing used to be intense and challenging. The sport was growing and sponsors were interested in our trucks. TV also became interested. S.E. marketed the racing and brought in event sponsors.......things were on the right track. Then Doc left and the quality of the entire show declined. Look how many race teams have also thrown in the towel! Has S.E. looked up in the stands recently ......they should before it's too late. They should attend a Live Nation event to see and learn show flow and why they sell out. Then there is track design or lack of .....too bad I didn't have a quarter-horse for this last event (it looked like a barrel race-not a monster truck race show)! Could't they afford to have more than 2 cars for the monsters to jump?! With rising fuel costs can anyone afford to participate in the races anymore (we are still racing for purses at rates from 10 years ago). What gives, you'd think there would be better purses by now. We know they have raised the attendance fees.

well maybe if they would stop changing rules during a race more people would show up when they know it aint fixed.and besides sounds to me like your bitter cause they dont have space for your nose in you know where anymore.why dont you bring your junk out to some "races"not shows call your buddy roy he can tell you where they are cause thats where he is .arent you tired of the BS by now?Its also funny how you mention all thoses names and they all say they left because they got tired of you trying to control evreything .maybe if you left it would be good again. Now thats just my opinon and I aint nothing right?

Zero... Garry brings up very valid points about the series. His comments don't warrant personal attacks. I know all those guys he mentioned, I've never heard them say "he" was their reason for leaving rather other issues were the reason.

Man, there is so many things that could be said. the purse should be a LOT bigger, I know I MAY NOT BE A BIG RACE PROGRAM, but i was part of putting on a show this past weekend that was great we had 31 trucks, a nice track, and a purse that payed back 15 spots, and I belive that every one there had a great time and some of the best racing in years !!! as far as all the other stuff, I belive we all play a part in the growth or Decline of the sport, and untill we all come together as a Whole, Not much will change, cause there will always be some racer that will show up for a pit pass. free lunch. and $50.00 and destroy his $15.000.00 race truck Thanks Tim Howard #55 SCORR
