As much money as special events makes off these races i'd like to see them put timing equipment on the tough truck track. The top 16 were all within 3 seconds. How accurate can stop watches really be. I know this only affects qualifying but a lot of times making the 16 is only a matter of hundreths of a second. Instead of a 2 day qualifyer then a final on sunday i'd like to see side by side races all three days. As much money as we got in our trucks we'd like to have more seat time , i think thats why a lot of guys are going to NORRA.
Electronic timing... yes! As for multi-truck I do like it, but it is more costly to maintain the truck. In a way we are circle track drag racers. How much seat time does a drag racer get? I've never really worried about seat time. The spectators would probably enjoy multi-truck more and I know that Mickey Thompson would also like it. The subject is definetly food for thought.
Well I belive the same things, as a group we need to do something, if all we do is talk about then nothing will change, and if we make a big stink they will replace us with some bike stunt show, LOL
I think the Jambos are the only place I run that does NOT have electronic timing and the lack of accurate timing has bitten everyone at least once. I know it has bitten me on a couple of occassions
